Here at True Light, we believe every individual has a purpose and a value.
Whether you’ve been here two weeks or two years, we invite you participate in
whatever it is that you like to do best.
Ministries and outreach are a great way to use your gifts and help serve others
at the same time. Please take a moment to see the ministries that True Light
has to offer you at this time. If you feel led to begin a particular ministry,
we will do our best to provide resources to make that happen. Of course, most
of us are simply the “helping hands” behind a great cause – and that’s o.k.
too! All we ask is…try it out!

and then give you an opportunity to be fulfilled using them.

CHILDREN
Every Sunday, children have the opportunity to play with others and worship God
during Sunday school and through age appropriate activities.
Our Nursery age program allows for little ones to be held and interacted with
while you attend our service. We will sing with your baby and allow them to
explore their new world around them- with plenty of love and support!
Our Pre-School program allows for children beginning at age three to join a
class led by a teacher and a helper who will play and interact with the kids,
give them an easy-to-understand Bible lesson, do activities with them and also
share in a snack time. Children in this age group often have a hard time
leaving when church is over!
Our Elementary age based program is also led by one teacher and a helper – This
group is most like your typical “Sunday School,” where children meet in class
and engage in a more intellectual (but still fun) Bible lesson. We follow a
curriculum, and at the end of class participate in an activity and snack time.
The first Sunday of each month is a FAMILY SUNDAY, where we encourage all
parents to have their children remain with them in the main service.
The Evangelical Covenant Church provides us with many resources and ideas for
children.

MARIE SANDVIK
The Marie Sandvik Center is a christian based, non-profit charitable
organization providing for the material and spiritual needs of the poor living
in the inner city.
On the fourth Friday of every month (unless mentioned otherwise), True Light
Church goes down to the Marie Sandvik Center. It’s there that we can serve food
to those who otherwise might not receive any, as well as participate in a short
service.
Started by Elders Mark and Sandi Tuveson, they encourage everyone to try coming
at least once! Often, the Tuveson’s will host dessert at their home
afterwards…no r.s.v.p. necessary! For more information about the Marie Sandvik

PRAYER
When’s the last time you just needed a “pick-me-up?” or the comfort of knowing
that someone else is concerned about your needs?
We invite you to send your prayer requests (confidentially) to our prayer inbox,
where dedicated members of our prayer team will pray for you. You can also fill
out a request on the tear-outs in your bulletins each Sunday and simply drop
them in the offering baskets when they go by.
The prayer group meets every Tuesday at 10am at the Church office. Click

YOUTH
Following Jesus is the ultimate adventure! We desire to reach youth of all ages
with His story and message. Through monthly activities and one-on-one
encouragement, we want to help you answer life’s questions, whether big or
small. True Light will be a place where you want to bring your friends,
especially those who don’t know Jesus Christ yet!
Molly Hall leads this group of dynamic students. Molly is a junior at Eastview
High School in Apple Valley, Minnesota. She is involved in many activities
school, and enjoys mentoring to others. With an adventurous spirit and love for
new ideas and making church FUN, your kids will have a blast with Molly and her
staff!
High school students meet for great conversation and good food every other Wednesday night from 7:00-9:00pm. Call Jesse or Renee at 612-388-3034.

WORSHIP
Worship is a dynamic and vital part of our Sunday worship here at True Light. We
believe our music is full of life, and that it is music you don’t find at all
churches!
Worship Volunteering
If you are gifted in any of worship arts or music, we strongly encourage you to
consider using your gifts as an expression of worship. Simply put, worship
means to offer ourselves to God. One way that we are privileged to do so is by
giving our gifts and giftedness back to Him for His use.
Our worship team meets outside of Sunday mornings to practice! Our mid-week
worship experience is an opportunity to interact with God in deeper ways
together. Each Tuesday evening at 7:00 we spend time connecting with God
through worship and teaching, singing, praying, learning and experiencing Him
on more and more personal levels.
